Technical SEO / GEO / AEO Foundations
Search engines and AI systems can only work with what they can read. These foundations are exactly that: structuring a product so it can be crawled, understood and placed in context. It is technical, structural work with a defined checklist. It is not an ads campaign, a backlink service, or a promise about rankings, citations or AI answers, none of which any provider controls.
What this is, and what it is not
This is the foundation layer: the markup, metadata, files and structure that make a product fully readable by search engines and AI systems. It is not SEO marketing. No ad management, no link building, no monthly ranking retainers, and no promises about position one or being cited by an AI assistant. What can honestly be delivered is a product whose structure gives it a fair chance wherever it can appear.
SEO, GEO and AEO, defined plainly
- SEO (search engines): semantic HTML, one clear H1 per page, correct heading order, unique metadata, canonicals, sitemap and robots.txt, so search engines can crawl and understand every page
- GEO (generative engines): consistent entity facts and structured data matching visible content, so AI systems can read and contextualize who you are, what you do, and who you serve
- AEO (answer engines): real questions answered directly and visibly on the page, marked up only where the answer genuinely appears, so assistants can lift an answer that actually exists
The checklist, what actually gets done
- Semantic HTML with one clear H1 and a correct heading hierarchy per page
- Unique page titles and meta descriptions written for humans and readable by crawlers
- Open Graph and Twitter tags so shared links preview correctly
- Structured data (JSON-LD) only where it honestly matches visible content
- Self-referencing canonical URLs and correct hreflang pairs for multilingual products
- Sitemap generation and a robots.txt that does not block useful crawlers
- Descriptive internal links, accurate alt text, and meaningful image filenames
- Performance and Core Web Vitals pass: image optimization, minimal scripts, fast mobile rendering
- A proper 404 page, and no accidental noindex or indexable preview deployments
- Search Console and analytics connected at launch, with events planned deliberately
Why structured data must match what users see
Structured data describing content that is not visible on the page is a liability, not an advantage. FAQ markup is added only where a real, visible FAQ exists. Ratings and reviews are never fabricated in schema. Offers describe engagements the page actually states. This site follows its own rule: where an engagement is scoped after discovery, no price is emitted in its structured data, because no price is shown.
Who this matters for most
- Multilingual products whose Arabic pages are not indexed or displayed correctly
- Products built visually with page builders and no attention to structure
- Businesses with a site that looks fine but is effectively invisible to search systems
- Teams that want AI systems to describe their service accurately rather than approximately
How this is delivered
When I design and build the product, all of this is included in the build, it is how the product is built rather than an add-on. For an existing product, it begins with a UX & Product Audit, which covers the structural diagnosis alongside the journey findings, and states honestly whether the answer is a set of fixes or a rebuild.
Frequently asked questions
Is this an SEO agency service?
No. This is structural, technical setup: markup, structured data, metadata, canonicals, hreflang, sitemap and performance. There is no ad management, link building, or monthly ranking retainer, and no ranking guarantees. Those are marketing services, which I deliberately do not sell.
Can you guarantee we rank first, or get recommended by ChatGPT?
No, and nobody honestly can. Rankings, citations and AI recommendations depend on competition, content, and systems outside any provider’s control. What is delivered is the foundation layer that helps search systems crawl, understand and contextualize the product, which is the prerequisite for appearing anywhere.
What do GEO and AEO actually mean?
GEO (generative engine optimization) means being readable and contextualizable by AI systems. AEO (answer engine optimization) means your pages genuinely answer question-style searches on the page itself, marked up so machines can lift an answer that really exists. Neither is a ranking hack; both are extensions of clear structure, factual content and entity consistency.
Is an llms.txt file required for Google rankings?
No. llms.txt is optional and Google does not require it. This site publishes one because it is a cheap, accurate summary of the site’s structure, not because it guarantees AI visibility. Anyone selling llms.txt as a ranking requirement is overselling it.
Our product already exists, can this be added?
Usually yes, starting with an audit to establish what is missing. Some products need metadata, structured data and sitemap work only; others have structural problems where rebuilding the front-end is honestly cheaper than patching. The audit tells you which before you commit.
Does this include Search Console setup?
Yes. Search Console verification, sitemap submission and analytics setup are part of the launch checklist, so you can see how search systems read the product from day one.
Can search systems and AI actually read your product?
Send the URL and I will tell you what the structure currently exposes and what is missing, honestly.
